The York Theatre was part of the early development of Avenue Q

Avenue QAs we’ve been working with the York Theatre in Manhattan, we’ve recently learned that it hosted some of the early versions of Avenue Q, which went on to win 3 Tony Awards and become the 23rd longest running show in Broadway history. After 2,534 performances, Avenue Q closed its Broadway run on Sept 13, 2009. A month later, Avenue Q re-opened off-Broadway at New World Stages.

That really underscores how great it is for Gayland to be headed into an upgraded table read there. The final date for our read should be set soon.
