There will be a week of rehearsals prior to the read, directed by Jason Brubaker, working with music director Elijah Caldwell. It’s been a long and circuitous route from the New Orleans 2013 Fringe Festival to getting our toe in the water in New York in 2015 with the York Theatre. And we’re so happy to be taking this step!

Gayland upgraded from “Table Read” to “29-Hour Read” on the Main Stage at the York

Pop those corks, ladies and gentlemen! We met with Jim Morgan, Artistic Director at the York Theatre today. Gayland has been upgraded from “table read” to “29-hour read.” “29-hour read” means a table read with more extensive preparation. Also, it will be on the main stage at the York Theatre.

The New Full-Length “Gayland” Is Ready To Go

After the success at the 2013 Fringe Festival in New Orleans, we set about revising and expanding “Gayland” based on what we learned from the performances and the audience reactions. The new version is a complete Broadway-length musical, with lots of fun new songs, like the tender ballad, “Don’t Forget Your Cock Ring.”
